Cordoba to NTC

PRESIDENT Macapagal-Arroyo has appointed former Palace official Gamaliel Cordoba as commissioner of the National Telecommunications Commission.

Cordoba replaced Ruel Canobas who resigned from the NTC to attend to his sick wife.

Cordoba has been part of the Arroyo administration since 2001 holding various positions in the Office of the President as chief of the Presidential Chief of Staff; assistant executive secretary and undersecretary in the Office of the Executive Secretary and Appointments Secretary.

He was also former director of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation.
